Cimicifuga racemosa more frequently termed as black cohosh is a perennial plant widely available in North America. It is often labeled as a supplement for women’s gynecological problems. Certain North American Indians used black cohosh to treat sore throats. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use black cohosh. As of yet, there are no conclusive studies regarding its safety for long term use in humans. There is some evidence that it causes liver damage. Other side effects may include dizziness, and occasional gastric discomfort, and though less likely it has negatively correlated with headaches, seizures, vomiting, sweating, low blood pressure, slow heartbeats, and weight gain
Gelsemium is known as a fever reducer. It is a homeopathic remedy that has been linked to motor paralysis and “general prostration”. The consumer should be aware that it could incite dizziness, drowsiness, dullness, and trembling, a slow pulse, tired feeling, mental apathy, and a lack of muscular coordination, are also sometimes reported.

We were only able to locate one source for the particular product. The language on the retailer’s web site is confusing, “ can relieve that clenching tightness and sighing from grief or disappointment, plus many other effects of emotional stress including insomnia, fever, indigestion.”
Many consumers who want to be proactive in treating their depression, anxiety and insomnia are compelled to buy homeopathic products that contain the mineral form of lithium which may effectively address worry and mood disorders and their often accompanying symptoms, headaches and restlessness.
