According to the website for Avea Mood, studies on mice have shown its formula to have an anti-depressant effect. Apparently, both dopamine and serotonin levels were increased in these animal studies. It does not appear that any human studies have been conducted, however.

Individuals who do not enjoy the taste of liquid tinctures may wish to seek out oral supplements that come in tablet form as an alternative. We particularly like products that contain the mineral lithium, as it has been shown to help elevate the mood and also have a calming effect. This has been shown to be particularly effective when combined with the substance Orotate.

We have no doubt that maintaining a balanced state of mind, emotionally speaking, can help individuals lead a more fulfilling life, and appreciate products that aim to help them achieve this state. However, with all of the options currently available, we do not feel that this is the best choice for consumers.
In our opinion, consumers would be better served by choosing products that contain a combination of the mineral lithium and the mineral carrier Orotate to reach this balanced state of mind. By gradually increasing the body’s levels of lithium, studies have shown that the mood can be lifted, without any side effects. We recommend seeking products that have received a number of positive responses from satisfied customers to ensure the most effective results.
